    Companies today are aware of being well educated and especially well trained. That´s my reason to choose this topic for my Graduation paper, I especially focused on the system of staff training. The company I am analysing is SPOLANA a. s. which is one of the most important chemical companies within the Czech industrial base. The most specific problem is the process of staff training which contributes to qualification extension of the company staff. The system of staff training represents one part of the complex human resources development system. My aim is to analyse the system, the staff structure and the quality of education to be able to find new solutions in the human resources management. One chapter represents my survey focused on the quality of the training programmes. According to the answers of the informants the quality is satisfactory but the whole system of staff training should be reorganized. My goal is to find some ways, how to improve the present state. According to the results of my analysis I suggest new possibilities for the HR managers such as Trainee programme, EU financial sources, E-learning etc. I hope these suggestions will be useful.
