    The diploma thesis is focused on questions of educational methods forelementary reading. The aim of the diploma thesis was to find out which educationalmethos for reading are the mostly used by teachers at schools nowadays.The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part aims to the development andorigin of spelling-books and particular methods for reading. The practical part includes theresearch examination focused on usage of educational methods for reading at the chosenschools.The research implies that the most frequent used method in education of elementaryreading is analytically-synthetic method.
