    The bachelor degree thesis focused on theoretical, as well as practical problems of use of habit-forming drugs, namely marihuana, among the first-year trade school students. The goal of the thesis was to determine the awareness level of and experience with habit-forming drugs of these students. The work consisted of two primary areas. The theoretical part, through the analysis of available literary sources, described the problems of drug abuse in other cultures, drugs in Czech Republic, drug dependence and the reasons behind it, the consequences of drug abuse, division of drugs based on the kinds of dependence risks, first aid after becoming drug dependent, and suggested solutions and legislature. The practical part determined through questionnaires and interviews with eighty students of the trade schools, their opinion about habit-forming drug abuse. Collected results gave an indication as to the students' drug awareness and experience and experimentation with habit-forming drugs. The result was a suggestion of specific steps to be taken in this area. The most valuable contribution to the subject matter of the thesis could be considered the determination of students' stance toward the problem and based on the findings, an improvement in prevention could be implemented , by making evailable good information about the harmful effects of the use of habit-forming drugs, namely marihuana.
