    This thesis is focused on the application of the shock absorbers, their types, their typical failures and another theory of dampers. The double tube principle of the operation vibration dampers is shown with the description of its constituent parts. The flow during stretching and compression of the shock absorber with the hydraulic schemes is described. The practical part is aimed at the attenuation measuring of the shock absorber (company Monroe) with the different design and different temperatures. The numerical simulation of stress strength and the numerical flow simulation of oil in the shock absorber piston are performed.
