It brings out especially the insufficient inner motivation of teachers to strive for discipline. The theoretical part clarifies the area of motivation, the practical part is based on the research of teachers' and pupils' levels of motivation in connection with the education towards citizenship. It also provides practical advise for teachers about improving the quality of their teaching of this subject.
