    This diploma thesis deals with questions of religious values and how they affect the education in contemporary czech society. Basic conceptions related to religious virtues and to the morality are also defined. The thesis is focused on the most important religious virtues and their influence on education and briefly introduces the development of religious virtues. At the end of the thesis the contemporary situation related to the second grade students´ preference of religious virtues is evaluated.
