- ItemC/P Carbon Composites - Reinforcement Volume Effecton the Electrical Properties(IOP Publishing, 2017-01-01) Novotná Jana; Salačová Jana; Pechočiaková MiroslavaTransmission of electrical charges in polymer composites depends not only on quality of their structure but also on electrical properties of individual components. That are a lot of possibility of fillers composites, for example chopped or milled carbon fibres, over multiwalled carbon nanotubes, singlewalled carbon nanotubes, graphene nanopellets and carbon black or fullerenes. The advantages of milled carbon fibres are affordability of starting materials. The main goal of the paper is analysis of densification influence on electrical properties of fabricated samples. All data were statistically tested for statistical significance and their interdependencies.

- ItemDevelopment of Multilayered Nanocomposites for Applications in Personal Protection(Springer, 2018-01-01) Novotná Jana; Baheti Vijaykumar; Tomková Blanka; Militký JiříThe aim of the presented research was to study the influence of surface layer material on improvement of impact, dielectric, EMI shielding and sound absorption properties of sandwich composites. The sandwich composite structure consisted of Kevlar or Carbon woven fabric at the surface layer, recycled high loft nonwoven in the center and a mixture of carbon particles/epoxy matrix as a binder to hold the surface layer and core together. The carbon particles were incorporated in epoxy in order to improve failure mechanism and enhance dielectric properties or electromagnetic shielding of sandwich composites. The biggest improvements on impact properties of sandwich composites were obtained when Kevlar fabric was used as surface layer. However, surface layer of carbon fabric was found to provide better dielectric properties and improve EMI shielding of sandwich composites against Kevlar fabric surface layer.

- ItemImpact strength of Epoxy composites with fly ashe as the fillers(2018-01-01) Novotná Jana; Baheti Vijaykumar; Samková AlžbětaSamples of epoxy composites containing three types of fly ash were prepared. The used epoxy resin system was low molecular weight unmodified epoxy resin based on bisphenol A, certified EPD for significant CO2 savings in production, low oil content and high content of renewable resources [1]. As fillers were used the following materials: (A). fly ashe not milled, (B). fly ashe dry milled, (C). fly ashe wett milled. All particles were added in 1-5 wt% concentrations. For composites with milled fly ashes, that the impact strength of fly ashe-polymer composites is incresing with increase in fillers weight percentage. The particle size plays important role in the impact strength.
