    Ekonomika obchodní banky na příkladu Komerční banky

    The diploma work deals with the economy of a commercial bank. The economical performance is demonstrated on the example of Komerční banka, a.s. The first chapter characterizes a commercial bank in general. The other one characterizes Komerční banka right away. The third and the largest chapter is devoted to the analysis of the accounting sheets of Komerční banka towards December 31, 2004. Individual items of both main accounting sheets are defined there including their most important parts. The volumes of the items are analyzed using the financial analysis indexes. The individual items are put in proportion with their totals. The findings are compared with those of the previous year and of the whole Czech bank sector. The last chapter concludes the findings of the previous one and it evaluates the economy of the examined bank. The conclusion evaluates the whole diploma work. It also sums up the situation of contemporary Czech banks.
