- ItemDevelopment of an anti-flood board to protect the interiors and exteriors of the infrastructure(2018) Petrů Michal; Srb Pavel; Ševčík Ladislav; Martinec Tomáš; Kulhavý PetrThis article deals with the development of an anti-flood board to protect the interior and exterior of various infrastructures, such a houses, cottages or industrial buildings. It was designed prototypes and assembled numerical simulations. In Central Europe and in particular in the Czech Republic, floods are an integral part of the natural water cycle and cause great loss of life and great property damage. The development of new types of mobile anti-flood boards is very important as the design solution is developed for flood protection with regard to minimizing weight, cost of production, easy manipulation, simplicity and speed of installation.
- ItemDevelopment of fire shutters based on numerical optimizations(2018) Novák Ondřej; Kulhavý Petr; Martinec Tomáš; Petrů Michal; Srb PavelThis article deals with a prototype concept, real experiment and numerical simulation of a layered industrial fire shutter, based on some new insulating composite materials. The real fire shutter has been developed and optimized in laboratory and subsequently tested in the certified test room. A simulation of whole concept has been carried out as the non-premixed combustion process in the commercial final volume sw Pyrosim. Model of the combustion based on a stoichiometric defined mixture of gas and the tested layered samples showed good conformity with experimental results – i.e. thermal distribution inside and heat release rate that has gone through the sample.
