    The work deals with progress and structure of macroeconomical index GDP in the Czech republic between the years 1998 and 2004. It attempts to analyse the tendency of rising national debt related with rising budget deficits. It analyses causes of this situation with focus on the outcomes of national budget. After it introduces government document Philosophy of the public budget reformation: budget perspective 2003 – 2006 and its steps in the area of public budgets. In the final part of the work are presented next possible actions leading to cutting the national budget outcomes succeeded by decrease of national budget deficit and national debt
