    Pojistné podvody a jejich dopady na český pojistný trh

    This thesis describes comprehensively the state of the Czech insurance market due to the development of insurance frauds in the various areas of insurance. At first, the thesis defines the concept of the insurance fraud, which is to be distinguished from the general fraud, its regulation and suggests ways of committing insurance fraud. Furthermore, the thesis analyzes insurance frauds in various fields of insurance, the method of perpetration, including examples from the practice and subsequently there will be explained their possible causes and discusses the potential impacts both in terms of insurance and from the perspective of their clients. The paper also deals with developments in the detection of insurance frauds, evaluates and identifies a potential approach to a prevention in this issue, describes indicators of insurance fraud and registers compiled by insurance companies which can provide an early detection of possible attempts to commit an insurance fraud. In conclusion, this thesis deals with the analysis of insurance frauds in the field of car insurance, as well as with areas with the highest number of incidences of insurance fraud.
