    Forecasting - nástroj snižování kapitálu vázaného v zásobách

    The main content of this thesis was to examine impact of the forecasting to the state and structure of inventories in company ETA a.s. As a tool was used forecasting module called Planning Wizard. This module is applied for more effecient inventory management. Using of Planning Wizard required its consistent implementation which is described in this thesis. There are also explained complications that accompanied the implementation and their solutions. As a measure of importance and relevance of forecasting the situation in ETA a.s. can serve as the comparison in terms of inventory before, during and after implementation of Planning wizard. Emphasis is placed on capital, which has been released by reducing the value of inventory, while service level remains the same. The thesis is written from position of employee in ETA a.s. who operates Planning Wizard.
