An occupation makes a person possible to be included into the society and it constitutes a satisfaction and a meaning of life. Loosing job an individual search for a stand-by in his surrounding and especially he search for a way to ensure its subsistence. The bachelor work does consist of verification of desk knowledge in the area of impact of unemployment to the life pattern of a jobless individual. The work focuses on the life pattern, which a jobless individual chooses, mostly involuntarily. The work is aimed on the jobless individual effort to rejoin the working life. To prove these facts, it does make use of the sociological research. A questionnaire is considered as a main source to ascertain practical facts. It was put forward to the jobless individuals being registered for a labour office. To search for these practical facts the materials were used, above all specialized literature being related to this topics. On the basis of the observed facts the topic was analysed and evaluated. By analysing of the impact of the unemployment the work is aimed on the attitudes of the job applicants, their way of job seeking and the changes, which will arise out of a situation change for the jobless individual and his closest surroundings. The main conclusions resulted from the work are as follows: the unemployment does influence a common life of a jobless individual in his family and it does influence the leisure of the jobless individual. As for the financial situation of a jobless individual, the income decline does influence the standard of living and the outcomes of a jobless individual and his family. It appears the most significantly in the area of inhabitation outcomes. The jobless individual does feel the most significantly the threat consisting of the loss of the work habits and a new situation will produce a sizable pursuit of a job allocation. The jobless person will be the most supported by his family and partner.
