One of the most important risks is the risk connected with the exchange rates. The company must take into consideration the influence of the exchange rate according to the current development by the long-term, medium-term and also by the short-term financial planning to make the financial plan correspond to the current state as much as possible. It is used in management as an important base for leading the company. If it is a prime exporter as Škoda Auto a. s. in the Czech Republic, it is necessary to elaborate the detailed plan of the earnings and expenses in the particular exchange rates which the company uses. Based on this foreign exchange rate the company hedges and eliminates the exchange rate risk with a help of the hedging instruments, that are in the market. A lot of different influences effect an export company such as globalization, financial and economical crisis, preparation for implementation of euro, etc. and it is very important to have an efficient management which is able to consider all the influences and take advantage of them to achieve the best possible economical results.

To lead the company successfully it is necessary to consider all possible risks especially in the international trade. The company must identify these risks in time, evaluate them and find the right methods to minimalize them as much as possible or avoid them completely. The companies, which focus their business activities on exporting their own products, divide their possible risks among the markets where they do their business in. These risks develop differently and contribute to the larger stability of the companies' results. The exchange rate risk is very important in the international trade and the business relations. The impact of the exchange rates development and the exchange rate risk can be eliminated by a suitable choice of the traded currency, by risk calculation in the price and mostly by operations in the foreign exchange markets. The view of the hedging of exchange rate risk is effected by the impact of globalization, implementation of currency euro and the entry of the Czech republic to the European union.
