The Bachelor thesis dealt with finding the existence of social isolation for the elderly and characteristics of the most common causes of social isolation of clients in residential social services, particularly in the Home for Seniors Úvaly. Its aim was to determine the most frequent causes of social isolation of older people in residential sanitary facilities, loss of social contacts and life-long social relationships, which arise as a result of this isolation. The work consisted of two main areas. It was a theoretical field that uses presentation expert sources described the basic problems of the area. Practical part found through a structured interview with the recording sheet, the existence of social isolation for the elderly and the most frequent causes of social isolation of clients in residential social services, particularly in the Home for Seniors Úvaly. The results were processed for a better overview and presented in graphs. At the end of the practical proposals for action have been described. For the contribution of the work can be considered the possibility of feedback and obtaining a broader view into the broader issues of social exclusion of users of this equipment for workers.
