    Projekt revitalizace brownfields v Libereckém kraji

    The topic of this thesis is to analyze the present state of brownfields in the Czech Republic and to introduce a concrete project in Liberec region. The thesis is divided into several parts. The intro includes a theoretical section which defines what brownfields are, the main types of brownfields, the advantages and disadvantages of brownfields. The second section focuses on native and foreign funding and programs, which is possible to use for regeneration of brownfields. The next section deals with Kateřinské valley which contains a lot of unused, ramshackle buildings. This part also describes the current dismal situation, the SWOT analysis for the Kateřinské valley and there is proposed measures for improving the situation. There is mentioned the examples of successfully regenerated brownfields from the Czech Republic and abroad. The next part is dedicated to a feasibility study. This study has to be elaborated on, if the applicant wants to draw grants for the project using EU funds. The final section includes possible funding of cycle-way.
