    Služby pro rodiny dušvně nemocných na Liberecku

    The paper deals with a care and services for families that have members with mental disorder. The objective of the work consists in a comprehensive assessment of extent and quality of social services that are provided for the families. The theoretical part bears on conception of mental decease and its features in various aspects, incl. historical and sociological views, of handicaps in schizophrenia and on special communication with the patients. In the practical part, the author brings results of her survey (based on a standardized questionnaire) on opinions and experience of people in the Liberec region as for occurrence, kinds and possibilities in social services. She also exploits interviews with clients, their relatives, service providers and physicians. A statistical analysis is employed as well as the casuistic approach.
