    In recent years it has been increasingly debated whether to have local authorities greater powers and responsibilities in the provision of public goods and services. The aim is to rationalize and streamline the public sector. Municipalities have an advantage in the provision of public goods. Much better knowledge of the local population and thus may provide goods efficiently. Farming community is a very complex process, which includes control of revenue as well as expenditure. Monitoring the management of municipalities is not only important from the perspective of law, but also the people who live here. The work focuses primarily on the revenue of the municipality. The Act No. 250/2000 Coll. on budgetary rules are posted revenue and expenditure of the village, where they arise.The emergence of these revenues and expenditures is very individual, it always depends on the size and location of the village. The final part of thesis is devoted to examples of subsidies from the Structural Funds and property tax reform.
