It concerns the pupil with at least one parent dependent on alcohol.Teachers need practical recommendations on how to respond to this problem andhow to interact with the pupil and the parents. The incidence of alcoholism in families in North Bohemia is reaching alarming rate. Results of my survey show up to 40% rate of incidence of alcoholism in families. In certain areas, there are schools in which up to 50% of children grow up in heavily pathological environment - with an alcoholic parent.The main aim of my work is to acknowledge teachers with practically usable recommendation of how to communicate with the parents, how to show them possibilities to improve situation of the family and to support the child. These recommendations may eliminate potential obstacles and risks that await teacher, who enters the problem.
