The text brings forward results of the areal and archival surve y of the building
development in Františkov (now Liberec 10 district), founded in the half of the
17th century. It focuses on the contemporary remainders of the original urb an
pattern and relicts of the oldest existing buildings. The fundamental part of
the text was created thanks to the operational evidence of the nr. 19 Liberec-
Františkov building, which remained to be the last survivor of the oldest
building layer, moreover it is in unexpectedly authentic condition without
modern modifications.
