Abstract
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou HIV/AIDS. V úvodní části je popsána nemoc AIDS jako lékařský problém (historie onemocnění, popis nemoci AIDS, virus HIV, způsob přenosu, historie onemocnění) HIV. Další kapitola je zaměřena na sociální dopady, které úzce souvisí s nemocí AIDS. Největší pozornost je věnována dopadům pandemie HIV/AIDS a jejím vlivem domácnosti, firmy, zemědělství, zdravotnický sektor a ekonomický růst. Na závěr jsou uvedeny možné způsoby boje proti této zákeřné chorobě.
This thesis deals with the human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS). In the introduction HIV/AIDS is described as a medical problem the history of the illness, a description of HIV and AIDS, and the ways of spreading HIV are given. The following chapter concentrates on the social impact of HIV/AIDS. A significant part of the thesis focuses on the pandemic impact of HIV/AIDS and in particular its impact on households, businesses, agriculture, the health sector and economical growth. In conclusion the thesis offers suggestions and possible methods for the prevention of and dealing with this pandemic illness.
