Monumentum Jana Wericha

Title Alternative:Monumentum of Jana Wericha
Abstract
Práce pojednává o životě Jana Wericha, jeho díle. Zachycuje významné momenty a zvraty a pomocí designu jej přetransformovává do fyzického objektu, jenž je základním stavebním kamenem bakalářské práce.
The thesis discusses the life and works of Jan Werich. It captures significant moments and turning points, and, using design, it transforms them into a physical object, which is the cornerstone of the Bachelor's thesis. Its aim was to create a reminder, a memorial to a person who has been guiding me through my whole life and has influenced it, be it directly or indirectly.During the whole of my studies, I have been learning to look. To look at the persons, situations, views and things around me in an entirely different way. To try and acquire an in-depth understanding of the issue, to gain my own perspective on the situation and, first and foremost, on the form of representation. A certain individual response to highlight the issue in hand. One that will raise questions with viewers and let them immerse themselves in it, forming their own opinions and impressions. It would be rather bold to state that I tried to achieve absolute objectivity in producing the work. Indeed, the selection of the topic itself was purely subjective. Yet I tried to place all the individual moments and pains of his life in the installation, not to assess them in any way, and let everyone form their own opinion.
