Abstract
Bakalářská práce zkoumá identitu ženských postav v románech mexické autorky Ángeles Mastrettové. Práce se zaměřuje na analýzu postavení žen v mexické společnosti a na jeho vývoj prostřednictvím příběhů dvou hlavních ženských protagonistek románů Vezmi mi život (Arráncame la vida, 1985) a Nemoc lásky (Mal de amores, 1996). V těchto románech Mastrettová vytvořila dvě zcela odlišné hrdinky, jejichž příběhy jsou ale zasazeny do téhož časového rámce mexické revoluce. Hlavní část práce je věnována analýze postav a jejich charakteristik, a to nejen těch ženských, ale i mužských, neboť právě mužské postavy velmi ovlivňují život a vývoj hlavních hrdinek. Kromě toho práce obsahuje i kratší pojednání o dvou současných románech: Na neshledanou, můj Ježíši (Hasta no verte, Jesús mío, 1969) Eleny Poniatowske a Jako voda v čokoládě (Como agua para chocolate, 1989) Laury Esquivelové. Tyto dva romány tematicky souvisejí s díly Mastrettové.
The bachelor thesis examines the identity of two female characters of novels written by a Mexican author, Ángeles Mastretta. The work is specialized in the analysis of the position of women in Mexican society and their evolution through the story of the main female protagonists of Tear This Heart Out (Arráncame la vida, 1985) and Lovesick (Mal de amores, 1996). The author creates two different images of women despite the fact that they live in the same space-time, which is the age of the Mexican Revolution. In the analysis of works is also included the presentation of male characters that influence the lives of both female characters. On the basis of the main novels of the thesis is made an analysis of two contemporary works, Here's to you Jesusa! (Hasta no verte, Jesús mío, 1969) by Elena Poniatowska and Like Water for Chocolate (Como agua para chocolate, 1989) by Laura Esquivel, which also represents an image of Mexican women during the revolution.
