Abstract
The aim of the thesis was to create a simulation tool inspecting the influence of vibration to evaluation signal obtained from white-light interferometry. The theoretical part is dedicated to introducing the properties of different illumination sources and describing optical methods for examining surface topography. The knowledge gained while working with the simulation tool was applied to the development of a nanopositioning measuring machine based on the white-light interferometry. The applied approaches led to improving the machine and increasing its competitiveness.
