Abstract
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vyobrazením žen ve filmové, fotografické a karikaturní tvorbě ve Velké Británii na přelomu devatenáctého a dvacátého století. Práce se zaměřuje na tři klíčové oblasti života, mezi něž autorka zařadila domácnost, zaměstnání a volný čas. Dále také sleduje rozdíly v tehdejším společenském postavení Britek. Zároveň je pro tohoto období zásadní probíhající první vlna feminismu, se kterou se ve Velké Británii pojí hnutí sufražetek. Vyobrazení těchto aktivistek práce analyzuje průřezově mezi všemi vybranými oblastmi života žen. Cílem práce je vypozorovat odraz vlivu feminismu na dobové filmové, fotografické a karikaturní tvorbě.
This bachelor thesis deals with the appearance of women in film, photographs, and cartoons in Great Britain at the turn of the twentieth century. This work focuses on the main aspects of contemporary women life, such as household, work and leisure. This work also concentrates on the difference in interpretation of women based on social class. One of the main factors in this period was also the first wave of feminism which relates to the suffragettes' movement in Great Britain. This work analyzes the suffragettes throughout every mentioned aspect of life. The aim is to determine the influence of these activists in films, photographs and cartoons.
