Abstract
Bakalářská práce pojednává o fenoménu mužské bezdomovectví. Autor si klade za cíl vysvětlit souvislosti mezi mužským genderem a bezdomovectvím. Ve své práci popisuje specifika života muže na ulici, odhaluje faktory, kterými je mužské bezdomovectví ovlivňováno, a vysvětluje strategie, jimiž muži zvládají život na ulici. Mužské bezdomovectví je v práci zasazeno do širšího společenského kontextu a je vysvětlováno jako dynamicky se vyvíjející jev, který je ovlivňován řadou faktorů, jež mohou mít původ v individualitě každého jednotlivce, jakož i v samotných strukturách společnosti. Všechny tyto faktory ovlivňují chování mužů bez domova, které může být v mnoha ohledech pro členy majoritní společnosti obtížně pochopitelné. Autor ve své práci vychází z rozhovorů s muži bez domova a na základně analytických postupů, které jsou postaveny na metodě zakotvené teorie, představuje čtyři různé kontexty mužského bezdomovectví, jež se od sebe navzájem liší pociťovanou mírou náročnosti života na ulici a mírou identifikace s rolí bezdomovce. V závěru práce autor pojmenovává několik dílčích témat a důležitých aspektů, které vyvstaly během procesu analýzy získaných dat a které by dle autora měly být reflektovány pomáhajícími profesionály, kteří pracují s muži bez domova.
The bachelor thesis deals with the phenomenon of male homelessness. The author aims to explain the links between male gender and homelessness. In his work he describes the specifics of life of a man on the street, reveals the factors that affect male homelessness, and explains strategies by which men manage the street life. In the thesis male homelessness is set in a broader social context and is explained as a dynamically evolving phenomenon that is influenced by a number of factors which may have origin in the individuality of each individual, as well as in the society structures themselves. All these factors influence the behavior of homeless men which can be difficult to understand for members of major society. The author's work is based on interviews with homeless men and on analytical procedures, which are based on the method of grounded theory, It introduces four different contexts of male homelessness, which differ from each other in the perceived level of difficulty of life on the street and the degree of identification with the role of the homeless. At the end of the work, the author names several sub-topics and important aspects that arose during the process of analysis of the obtained data and which, according to the author, should be reflected by helping professionals who work with homeless men.
