Abstract
Zadáním je rozšíření stávajícího kampusu Univerzity v Sankt Gallen (HSG). Univerzita potřebuje více prostoru pro své studenty a kantory tak, aby mohla provádět své klíčové úkoly - výuku, výzkum a další vzdělávání. Univerzitní strategií se tedy stalo přidání dalšího objektu ke stávajícímu kampusu v Sankt Gallen. V novém kampusu Platztor je plánována užitná plocha 14 000 m2 pro cca 3000 studentů, kantorů a dalších zaměstnanců. Záměrem je vytvořit funkční urbanistický a architektonický rozvoj a rozšíření současného univerzitního kampusu. Územní rozloha soutěžního místa je 9 500 m2 a nachází se na severní hraně historické části města.
The task is to extend the existing campus of the University in St. Gallen (HSG). The university needs more space for students and educators to carry out of key tasks - teaching, research and further education. The university strategy was to add another building to the existing campus in Sankt Gallen. The new Platztor campus has a floor area of 14,000 m2 for approximately 3,000 students, teachers and other employees. The intention is to create functional urban and architectural development and expansion of the current university campus. The area of the competition site is 9,500 m2 and is located on the northern edge of the historical part of the town.
