Abstract
This article deals with the usage of big data in systems facilitating the warning of heightened risks of a traffic accident occurring. The article describes the possibilities of using traffic accident data collected by the Czech police and the data regarding the intensity of traffic on roads and motorways, which is provided by the Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic.
