Abstract
Hlavním tématem této bakalářské práce je vzdělávání německých dívek, primárně však jejich vyšší vzdělávání na území Liberce v období od druhé poloviny 19. století do počátku 20. století. Práce je systematicky a logicky strukturována do sedmi základních kapitol. Po úvodním kritickém zanalyzování a zhodnocení literatury a pramenů se zabývá vývojem školství v českých zemích, což čtenáři poskytuje komplexní pohled na danou problematiku a dává prostor pro utvoření představy o fungování školství u nás již od jeho prvopočátků. V dalších kapitolách, které lze považovat v rámci celé práce za stěžejní, je pojednáváno především o vyšším, ale i základním vzdělávání německých dívek v Liberci. Důležitými institucemi jsou spolky, jež se na území města snažily bránit a podporovat vzdělávání, ale i národ, a to jak německý, tak i ten český. Jejich činnost je popsána v samostatné kapitole. Nejzásadnější částí práce je ta badatelská, v níž je pojednáno o jednotlivých vzdělávacích institucích především školách, jež ve stanovém období v Liberci vznikaly a fungovaly. Práce je doplněna o zajímavé dobové a archivní materiály.
This bachelor thesis is concerned with the education of German females, primarily their secondary education, in the area of Liberec from the second half of the nineteenth century until the start of the twentieth century. The thesis is systematically and logically structured into seven chapters. After the initial analysation and evaluation of literary sources the thesis deals with the development of education in the Czech lands. This provides a reader with a deeper insight into the topic and enables him/her to create a picture of the educational system in our country as it developed from the very beginning. The following chapters, which can be considered crucial in the thesis, look mainly into the secondary but also into the primary education of German females in Liberec. It emphasises the importance of societies which tried to defend and support education in the given area as well as the aims and intentions of both Czech and German nations. Their work is described in detail in a separate chapter. In the pivotal part of the thesis individual educational institutions are explored, especially those which were established and were in operation in the given period. The thesis is complemented with interesting period and archive material.
