Abstract
Téma Renovatio zpracovávám hned z několika důvodů. Obdivuji se krajině Jizerských hor. Obdivuji se její historii, která má tak trochu hořkou pachuť. Obdivuji se sklářskému řemeslu, obdivuji se sklu jako materiálu, jelikož je tak krystalicky čisté, něžné a nevinné. Na stranu druhou nepoddajné a živelné. Obdivuji se sklářům, kteří k němu našli cestu a denně se jej snaží pokořit. Sklo se však nedá a valí se svou vlastní cestou. A to je vlastně dobře. Práce by měla spojovat právě tyto aspekty. Ráda bych v ní spojila práci sklářů s invencí umělce, technologii a tradiční řemeslo a vytvořila tak zcela nový celek. Diplomová práce by pro mne měla být radostným vyvrcholením mého dlouholetého studijního snažení. Zvolila jsem si tedy téma, které mi dovolí zkoumat a problematiku materiálů, postupů výroby a reagovat na ně. Říká se, že vše už bylo ve skle vymyšleno. Určitě?
I have chosen the theme Renovatio for several reasons. I ad?mire the landscape of the Jizera Mountains. I admire its history, which has a little bit of bitter taste. I admire the glass craft, I admire glass as a material... because on one hand it is so crystal.... and on the other hand, gentle and innocent. On the other side, unbearable and spirited. I admire the glassmakers who have managed to humble it. However glass is glass and it goes it s owm way. The work should combine just these aspects. I would like to com?bine the work of glassblowers with the invention of the artist, technology and traditional craftsmanship to create a completely new whole. This diploma thesis is meant to be a joyous culmination of my long studies. So I have chosen a topic that will allow me to examine and deal with the issue of materials and fabricationprocesses. It is being said that everything has been tried with glass and there is little room for innovation. Is that true?
