    Sociální status odsouzených ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody

    This bachelor thesis dealt with the issue of social status of prisoners in a high security type of prison and with utilization of the typical profile of synthetic status by employees of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic in their daily work.Introductory chapters familiarized a reader with the main concepts connected with the topic of lifestyle theories, social status and criminality ? these chapters were subsequently confronted with penitentiary environment.In the research part of the thesis, using a sample of respondents ? 50 prisoners in a high security type of prison ? the typical synthetic status of these prisoners was determined.The main idea of the thesis was, that it was necessary to use knowledge of synthetic status in daily penitentiary practice, especially in the process of the complex reports creation, or for the most efficient work with this target group, for example, in the setting of treatment programmes or to find other strategies how to work with them.The thesis was intended not only for employees of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic, but also for other readers engaged in penitentiary problems.
