    The diploma thesis deals with problems of real use of children´s magazines in secondary school education. The diploma is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical one focuses on consecrating of the names connected with media. It also focuses on the connection between the use of the children´s magazines in education and the Educational Plan for Secondary School Education. Further, it deals with the characteristics of pupils in secondary school education. In the second research part, the diploma thesis investigates by questionnarie method 175 informants from the basic school and from the eight-year gymnasium. In appendix, there is a list of children´s magazines in the Czech republic.
