    The subject matter of the diploma thesis is to find out the level of subjective perception of teachers of different age and the reflection of their own personal growth. The theoretical part deals with analysis of the human psyche and its selfconcept, defines the teaching profession, describes the causes and effects of stress and their impact on the personality of the teacher. It also offers a possible solution to eliminate stressful situations, how to cope with unpleasant events in life and learn how to enhance mental health. The practical part aims to identify the connection of the personal growth with personal characteristics within two groups of teachers with different level of the life satisfaction. This part is realized in selected schools in Liberec and Hradec Králové Region by questionnaire and interview with a particular teacher.
