The topic has been gradually developed from the wider conception through the national level to the Region of Liberec-city. According to the scope of submission the author stays on the regional level.

The author of the thesis is first focused on general issues of sustainable development of geographic education, thereafter on specifics of geographical education at Smržovka basic school. An integral part of the work is a concept design for sustainable development of geographical education at Smržovka basic school.
