    The bachelor's work was concentrated on the problematics of the impact of the family upbringing on the development of youth criminality. The theoretical part characterized the teenage period of life, drew attention to the child and youth criminality while describing its development, types of the most frequent criminal acts and their specific features as well as the causes and possibilities of the youth criminality prevention. Further, the final paper mentioned measures taken in the case of criminal acts committed by the youth according to the law n°218/2003 of the Code of Youth Responsibility and Judicature of Youth Matters, which can be included to the area of prevention to some extent. A substantial area of the theoretical part of the final paper was devoted to the detailed definition of the family and of its educational importance, with the focus on the impact of an incomplete family on the later development of an individual.The practical part concentrated on the confirmation of the theoretical piece of knowledge concerning the impact of family background on the committion of criminal acts by children and the youth. The research was carried by means of a questionnaire distibuted to 40 inmates of an educational institution.
