    Subject of this thesis is development of Personal Care Assistance social service, it´s characterization, functioning and use of this service in the Czech Republic. Thesis is focused on various kinds of Personal Care Assistance services, it´s definition and important features. Character of Personal Care Assistant was described in detail in thesis, including description of his/ her job and stress and crisis situations he/ she has to deal with. Personal Care Assistance services providers are also mentioned in thesis, as well as conditions under which Personal Care Assistance social service is arranged. Practical part of the thesis deals with public consciousness of Personal Care Assistance social service and possible use of this service for one´s family members/ friends
