    Vzdělávání odsouzených ve věznici s dozorem

    The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of educating those sentenced to prison. The first, theoretic, part concentrates on the work field of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic and the main goals of this organisation. The convicts are characterised in terms of a basic distinction and the approach to individual cases is examined. Further, basic terminology relevant for the topic of inmate education is explained; the history of education in jail and the present educational system as realised by the Prison Service of the Czech Republic are reviewed. Special attention is paid to individual educational centres.The second, practical, part consists of an investigation exploring the interest and the level of information of convicts as regards opportunities to educate themselves by means of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic.
