    The main theme of the bachelor thesis are the services offered to senior citizens in the Nový Bor region with the reference to the community planning of social services in the same region. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to analyze social services for senior citizens in the selected region. For my thesis I selected the Nový Bor region as the place where I live and work.I divided my bachelor thesis into two parts - theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I dealt with the general terms and information on community planning - legislation, origins of social services planning, principles, participants as well as the analysis of the community plan of the Alliance of Municipalities of the Nový Bor region, followed by the description of the selected area and overview of social services provided in the region. I concluded the theoretical part by a brief description of senior citizens and their specific needs and requirements.In the practical part of my thesis I used the analysis of documents, controlled interviews and critical reflections from my own practice to reveal the details on providers of social services in the Nový Bor region, with the special focus on senior citizens, their specific needs and requirements as well as financial compensation of such services.The main presumption was the existence of the social services providers, establishment of new social services providers and the necessary public interest.The key finding was that the number of the social services provided in the Nový Bor region is sufficient enough to cover the local demand. Social services providers have been extending their offer pursuant to specific requirements of their clients step by step. However there is an insufficient capacity in the sojourn facilities where the demand is high above the local supply. This seems to be a consequence of the local trend forcing people to stay in their homes rather than to spend their time in the sojourn facilities.
