    The Bachelor Thesis deals with the issue of child and juvenile delinquency. The Thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to the causes of the occurrence of juvenile delinquency, especially the influence of a family, school, peers and the effects of other important factors in the lives of the youth. At the same time, the Thesis outlines today's approach to the youth in criminal proceedings and specifies the most frequently committed crimes. The practical part is devoted to the research investigation using a non-standardized questionnaire which focuses on children in elementary schools in the Česká Lípa District and a statistical research of the development of child and juvenile delinquency in the Česká Lípa District. The aim of this part is to analyze the largest representation of juvenile delinquency in the Česká Lípa District and evaluate criminal experience of children and youth in the district. In the end of the Thesis, there is the formulation of a possible preventive programme that could contribute to the reduction in juvenile delinquency.
