This work deals with the measurement and calculation of the heat recovery exchanger. This is a multi-plate and plate heat recovery heat exchanger with cross flow of work materials are also included numerical models used for flow visualization. The first part is an introduction to the problem of heat recovery and heat recovery equipment theoretical designs. The second part deals with possible methods for the measurement and creation of numerical models in Fluent. The third section focuses on the actual measurement and evaluation of the data.

The main point of this thesis was to investiged possibilities of using CFD methods for design of heat exchangers. Detail model of finned tube bank was made and the numerical simulation was applied to it. Geometry of detail model was gradually simplified and results of each numerical simulation were compared with detail model. Analytical calculations and experimental measurement were performed to prove results aquired by numerical simulation. Evaluation of results aquired analytically, experimentally and with use of CFD methods was made in conclusion.
